Cruising the Southern Caribbean on the Silver Whisper – Silversea Cruises

While there are plenty of on board activities throughout the day, from a sunrise walk or early morning Pilates classes to a formal High Tea in the afternoon, some of the best activities are offered on days at sea, particularly if you are interested in the culinary aspects of the cruise.

In addition to meeting with Chef Foussier on one of the days, we also took a tour of their impressive galley. Having traveled on other ships and taking galley tours, the Silver Whisper had a very large and really well organized set-up. Chef Foussier also hosted a culinary demonstration one afternoon preparing two dishes and then on the last day, we attended one of our favorite activities during the cruise, an informative and enjoyable Lunch & Learn. Chef Foussier and the culinary team from Le Champagne prepared a truly spectacular lunch with some really special wines in the intimate dining room.

It was sad to end our cruise in Ft. Lauderdale, but we never miss an opportunity to experience something very special, so we remained in the Miami area for more travel and dining experiences that will be brought to you in an upcoming article. As we said goodbye to the wonderful staff of the Silver Whisper, they were preparing to depart for the beginning of their extensive World Cruise with exciting and exotic destinations over the course of 115 days covering 50 ports and 30 countries. What an incredible experience that would be!
