The entrance to the resort is secluded; hidden behind a wall of bushes and trees from the street, it is easy to drive past the property. Upon arrival, we were warmly greeted at the open-air reception area. In fact, all of the resort’s public spaces are open. With the cooler breezes on this side of the island, the temperatures are moderate throughout the year, so the public spaces are open and inviting. The lush tropical gardens and trails winding through the resort lead us directly to the private white sandy beach. Listening to the surf crashing along the rocks, I knew the beach was not far away. I could even listen to the waves as they rolled onto the shoreline from our garden view room.
