This gentleman knows a good wine when he smells it!
I will be sharing more with you about the culinary weekend over the next few days, including two very special evenings spent with some of our favorite farmers and chefs.
Enjoy the rest of your week!
Disclosure – We were guests of the Chamber of Commerce for the Opening Reception of the 5th Annual Highlands Culinary Weekend. The opinions expressed about the event are my own and I was in no way compensated for writing this post.
This is an area of the country that is close to my heart.
I really enjoyed this article, and I think it’s awesome that they have someone like you to talk about what you’ve experienced here.
The mountains of North Carolina are AWESOME!
We sure could have a blast attending all these wine and foodie events together, but I guess we’ll have to settle living vicariously off each other! We’re set for three days of the San Diego Bay Wine & Food Festival starting tomorrow. That venison is making my mouth water…
P.S. That gentleman who knows a good wine gets a red nose like I do when I drink wine 😉
I would love to visit this area. Congrats on your 2 year anniversary coming up – you have accomplished so much!
Highlands’ aspirations of being the Aspen of the East is absolutely achievable. The relaxed mountain atmosphere, as noted, positions The Highlands as one of the most beautiful places to visit. The excellent food, wine, arts and theater only add to value of this wonderful place.
