A Dutch Baby with Boozy Strawberries for the Royal Wedding
Happy Friday to you! I would like to say that today’s post is for Casual Friday, however, after waking up at 5 am to watch the Royal Wedding this morning, this day has been anything but casual! Did you see some of those hats? Geez…thankfully the bride has excellent taste. What were those other women thinking?
Anyway, to celebrate the Royal Wedding (cheers to William and Kate!) and in preparation for Mother’s Day, I have a beautiful Dutch Baby with Boozy Strawberries and an incredible giveaway to tell you about today! It’s been like Christmas around here lately. I can’t wait to see what comes next! 😉
I was so excited when I was asked to review the Magimix by Robot-Coupe 4200XL 14-cup Food Processor (that’s quite the name!). I have always relied on my food processor to do many things in the kitchen. The more that I make our food from scratch, and use almost no processed foods, the more integral this particular appliance becomes in my kitchen. I am now preserving more seasonal and local foods than I ever have before.
I make pastry dough and bread dough with my food processor. I grate cheeses, slice vegetables, and chop nuts. I use it to puree foods (canned tomatoes, soups and sauces). I also use it to make batters (as I did with the Dutch Baby). You can also whip cream with a special attachment that comes with the Magimix by Robot-Coupe 4200XL 14-cup Food Processor. I find that my food processor is an incredible time saver.
I love that there are three different size bowls to use with this food processor and the size you choose will depend on the job you are doing. There are a selection of blades and discs that are neatly housed in their own case. I was so excited to see that since I tend to misplace those types of things. Now I can keep them stored all in one place.
This food processor is a real workhorse. The only thing is doesn’t do is clean itself! When they come out with that model, I definitely want one of those. 😉
I recently got a food processor and I’ve used it to make graham cracker crumbs for some cheesecake cookies. I’m looking forward to using it for other things like pureeing tomatoes, making dough, etc.
I’m already a follower on Twitter.
I don’t have a food processor! But I would love one! I would use it for soups, jams, nuts, I would make more doughs. I have come across several recipes recently that use one, sad that I don’t have one!

I am subscribed to the emails! I have been loving your posts! Going to make this dutch baby this weekend!
I would *love* a food processor! I only have a mini and have the inconvenient chore of borrowing my mom’s when I have a need. I’m taking more and more cooking classes & find the more in depth I get, the more recipes demand a food processor! When I do get one, on the top of my list: bread dough, pizza dough, pasta dough, cookie dough & more dough! Thanks for the opportunity : )
I love the food processor…Its perfect for soups, cold slaw, and just grinding carrots or any veggie. My processor is over 25 years old and needs replacing.
Love Bunkycooks!

I subscribe to Bunkycooks!

I don’t have a food processor, however, I would love to win this one. First thing I would do is to shred cheese and save my knuckles!

I always like to make nut butter at home and if i get a chance to win this food processor, that’s what I would make frequently….Thanks for this giveaway….

Funny, I was just about to buy a MagiMix. I love that it has 3 bowls, but even more than that is the variety of attachments. If I had one (to replace my 11 cup Cuisinart), I’d continue to make dough, to shred vegetables and that small bowl would get a pesto workout this summer!

I like to use mine to chop veggies quickly for soups. Food processors are also perfect for soup blending, hummus making, and pesto pureeing!
Also, I’m a subscriber!
I use my very tiny one to make pestos and salad dressings. If I had a large one like this though, I could make breads and pie crusts!
Also, I am a current RSS subscriber

I would love to try making pie crusts in the processor. I always feel intimidated making pie crusts by hand but have seen several cooking shows where making the pie crusts look easy using a processor.
I would love to have a food processor to be able to chop up veggies! 🙂
I’ve been dying for a food processor so when I make chicken with a pretzel crust I don’t have to spend so much time with a rolling pin!!

I’m dutch, so I guess that’s why I love Dutch Babies!!! Yours looks wonderful!
Hi! I just stumbled across your blog when I saw the words “dutch baby” and “boozy strawberries” and I knew you were my kind of gal. As far as the food processor goes, I used to use one when I baked with my mom, but since it broke she refuses to get a new one, saying “it’s fine, we don’t use it that much anyway.” Well let me tell you, I love to bake (I’m studying business currently in hopes of opening my own bakery) and we are constantly making pies, things with chopped nuts, chopped fruit (so annoying to cut up all those apples by hand every Thanksgiving), and so on. I mean we’ve worked around it, but it would be awesome to have one just to save some time.
I love using it for pesto and for crushing cookies for oreo truffles yum!
I am a fan of you on Facebook too!
I also am subscribed your emails!!
Like you, I use a food processor for so many things especially, cookie and bread dough and pesto. I would SO love to have a Magimix, but it has always been a bit out of my price range. I am subscribing to your feed. 🙂
wow, that’s amazing, the way the batter pops up!!! We love it! Have a great weekend, Giorgia & Cyril

I use my old processor for Gazpacho and roasted butternut squash soup. So good! Thanks
i am now a twitter follower!
what *wouldn’t* i do with a food processor? i’m typing this with wounded fingers thanks to hours spent slicing potatoes and onions for a huge batch of tortillas d espanola yesterday, so the first thing i would do is make another mess of those, quickly and painlessly!
I love a good food processor! Growing up my mom would use her food processor for everything: pestos, doughs, hummus, chopping, grating, pureeing. EVERYTHING! And I have learned to do the same. My food processor is only a 7 cup, so I would love to double my volume!
I have a tiny food processor – I would like to have a bigger one for making big batches of salsa.

I like to make my mom’s enchilada sauce and guacamole in my food processor. Chicken enchiladas with guacamole = best meal ever!
I only wish that I had a food processor! Unfortunately, as a college student, I have to spend my money on pesky things like textbooks instead of my food obsessions. If I had a food processor, I think that one of the first things I would make would be some chocolate-coconut almond butter. Yummmm

I have never had a food processor, and have been dying to try some recipes for homemade salsa, guacamole, pesto, and hummus.
I use my food processor to crush cookies and graham crackers to make crusts for cheesecakes and grate cheeses and to chop veggies for all sorts of savory dishes and to mix up dips like hummus.

My food processor recently died after more than 10 years of hard use. So, I would really love to win this one. I use a food processor a lot for things like hummus, a favorite lunch item in our household and I make a ricotta cheesecake that is to die for using a food processor. do you have a recipe for the dutch baby without a food processor?
Hi there,
You could make it in a blender or use a stand or hand mixer. Just make sure it is thoroughly blended and has a little more volume.

My mom has a Magimix that is more than 30 years old. She has been using it since before I was born and is still being used on a daily basis! If I won his Magimix, I would make her famous gazpacho recipe in it. If I don’t win it, I will be happy to come and wash your Magimix, Gwen! Just to be in the presence of greatness!
I have a food processor and love making hummus in it. A bigger one would be great.

with my grad student budget, I could never afford to buy a food processor this nice, but I could certainly use the time savings! I’ve been on a serious hummus kick lately, so that would definitely be the first thing I made, and then I wouldn’t have to spend for the mediocre store-bought stuff.

I mostly use my food processor for grinding almonds to make Norwegian wedding cakes. But my processor is getting so old, it’s ready to break, so I would love to win the Magimix Robot-Coupe Food Processor! Thanks for the giveaway.
