On the Road and a visit to Crystal Pines Alpaca Farms in Carthage, North Carolina – Part One
He makes plenty of noise, too!
So does this rooster!
The goats and their babies are very cute and very quiet.
This is a gorgeous Sardinian donkey. There is a great history behind this animal and they are also an endangered species.
The original black swans! They are breathtakingly beautiful!
Just gorgeous…
Have a great week and come back next Monday for the rest of our visit to this farm!

What a beautiful place! It looks like a wonderful place to visit. And I just want to squeeze that pig!
I love agritourism! Not only does it educate “non-aggies”…..it helps “aggies” learn about different farm practices. Two of my favorite places to visit in Kentucky is “Mountain Homeplace” in Paintsville, and “Shaker Village” in the Bluegrass area. Both offer heritage gardening demonstrations and “period” tour guides.
Gwen, this experience on the farm with those beautiful animals looks amazing & uplifting. Such gorgeous subjects to photograph 🙂 Congrats to you for speaking on the social media for ANA. xo
Great pictures. Glad you guys were able to stop by there before heading home. Must have been a late night!

Nemo is so cute! I want to take him home with me. 🙂 Looks like you had fun. Hope the ANA speaking engagement went well!
I’m looking forward to the rest of your pictures. Ryan has become passionate about gardening, and he’s talking about one day starting a goat farm! Right now it is still a dream, but who knows? I think we could love it 🙂 Needless to say, I loved seeing all of these animals. Thank you so much for sharing!
