Getting High in Orlando – Part 1
A Four Diamond resort, The Omni Orlando features enough activities and restaurants that you could make this the destination and not even leave the property. Best of all, you can bring Fido. For those who like to stay active, there are 36 holes of championship golf, a fitness center, and 15 acres of pools and other outdoor activities, including a lazy river. If you prefer to relax on vacation, the Mokara spa is the ideal way to unwind with one of their facials, massages, or signature body treatments such as the Mokara Body Quench Ritual.

There are also plenty of dining options at the resort including casual venues such as an outdoor bar and restaurant poolside and a deli, which was a great spot to grab coffee and a bagel for breakfast. The Omni Orlando has three main restaurants: Zen, featuring pan-Asian cuisine and sushi; Trevi’s for traditional Italian dining; and David’s Club, an upscale sports bar and grill. All three have received the Trip Advisor’s Certificate of Excellence. Our choice for a romantic evening was David’s Club where the menu focuses on classic cocktails, tasty small bites and salads, signature steaks, and seafood dishes.
