Best Travel Accessories and Luggage for Fall 2025

With summer now well under way, many of you have probably mapped out your remaining summer travel plans — and you may have even started planning for the fall, but have you figured out how (and what) you’re going to pack and the type of luggage you’re going to take on your trip? After all, fall is just around the corner once we’re past the Fourth of July…

It’s always fun to find a few new travel or fashion accessories to take along on your adventures or different pieces of luggage that are more efficient when it comes to packing. For the first time ever, I recently traveled on a four-night trip to Madeira with only a carry-on and a duffel bag. Thanks to one of my favorite pieces of luggage from Travelpro, I could get most everything I needed in the carry-on, with a few extras tossed into this reasonably priced weekender-style bag I purchased from Amazon.

By the way, the top photo is from Santana, in the northeastern region of Madeira. This area (and the entire island) was incredibly beautiful. I highly recommend a visit to Madeira if you ever have the opportunity to travel there.

If you’re in the market for a few new gadgets, travel pieces or accessories to take on your trip, here are six of the items I’ll be packing for quick getaways, longer trips and staycations for the rest of the summer and fall.

Aquasonic Black Series Ultra Whitening Toothbrush

I use an Oral-B electric toothbrush when I’m home, so I struggle with packable toothbrushes when I travel, even when they’re battery-operated. Problem solved: the AquaSonic wireless electric toothbrush.

The model I received to review comes with a plug-in electrical charger, two brush heads (not the eight as shown) and a custom travel case. The wireless toothbrush stays charged for up to four weeks (I’ve used it for two weeks without recharging). It’s lightweight, has several modes for whitening and polishing teeth and the technology has been accepted by the American Dental Association (ADA) Council of Scientific Affairs. It’s also effective in removing plaque and helping to prevent gingivitis.

I won’t travel without it now, especially on long trips, as I find it cleans as well as my Oral-B at home. There are several other models with additional brush heads and other features.

EVELYN + KATE Pink Peony Silk Scarf

A colorful scarf, especially this floral silk print from EVELYN + KATE, can dress up any basic outfit. I love bringing scarves to accessorize when I travel since they don’t add any bulk to my suitcase, but they can dramatically change an outfit with a pop of color, especially when wearing neutrals and solids. The pink peony pattern is perfect for the spring and summer with white and cream-colored dresses and blouses. I’ve also paired it with a pale blue dress and a lavender blouse in the fall. The generous size, at 44 X 72 inches, allows you to use it either as a neck scarf or as a wrap.

EVELYN + KATE’s two designers are childhood friends and artists who originally started a business creating floral and abstract landscape oil paintings. Those paintings inspire their designs and patterns with a line of silk scarves and wraps, tote bags, table linens (napkins and placemats), pillow covers, keychains and wall art (paintings and prints). You can see their artwork in person at their Amoré Gallery on Murray Hill in Cleveland, Ohio’s Little Italy District, or you can order any of their pieces online.

Travelpro’s VersaPack + Cyber Lime Carry-On Spinner

I’m a huge fan of Travelpro bags (as mentioned above), and depending on the trip, I’ll either choose one of their hardside or softside bags I have from the line. If I’m concerned with flexibility and space, I’ll typically select the softside version since it will hold more, especially when it’s expanded — and it will fit in the overhead bins of most major U.S. airlines.

I love this new collection of VersaPack bags with the soft gray hue and bright lime colored trim. The advanced packing features of the 23 X 14.5 X 9.5-inch carry-on help to organize your items and maximize the interior capacity with a removable compression system, packing cube organizer, interior and exterior pockets, shoe bags and a laundry bag. If you like to go shopping and need extra space on the return flight home (that’s me), you’ll have two additional inches to fill with the expansion zipper feature.

Other highlights include TSA-compliant locks guards, rugged YKK zippers, stain-resistant ballistic nylon fabric, an adjustable PowerScope Handle and 360-degree MagnaTrac side-aligning spinner wheels for easy mobility.

Travelpro VersaPack + Large Check-In Spinner

I use this large Travelpro VersaPack softside bag for long-haul extended trips, especially for cruises and getaways abroad. The durable bag measures 30.75 X 18 X 13.25 inches and weighs 10.9 pounds. The estimated volume is 130 L and it’s built to the maximum size allowed for most airlines.

The expandable bag (by two inches) features a built-in TSA lock; 360-degree MagnaTrac spinner wheels; sturdy YKK zippers; stain- and water-resistant exterior ballistic fabric; a four-stop, adjustable Power Scope Handle; interior and exterior zippered pockets — and it comes with two large removable packing cubes and a laundry bag.

I ordered the bag in the Estate Blue shade as an alternative to basic black, but the bag also comes in Black, Desert Sage Green and Elemental Blue. If you need a smaller checked bag, the same style is available in a medium size (24.75 X 17 X 10.5 inches), including in the Cyber Lime color.

Travelpro Altitude Slim Expandable Laptop Backpack 20- 24L

My go-to personal item when I fly is typically a backpack. Most of them fit easily under the seat and aren’t large enough to warrant scrutiny from gate agents at the airport. (This is especially important when you’re flying internationally.) While I sometimes deviate from the plan and take a duffel bag (when I need extra space and don’t want to check a bag, as noted above), I prefer backpacks since they’re easier to organize with the slimmer design, and they have interior pockets for laptops and other electronics and chargers. I also appreciate the easy access to my iPhone, passport, earbuds and other items with the exterior pockets.

This Travelpro backpack is made of eco-friendly, high-density ballistic ECOFAB fabric with a water, stain and scrape resistant DuraGuard coating. If you need more room, just unzip the expansion for an extra 20% in space. In addition to having multiple compartments, a built-in key leash and padded sleeves for your laptop and tablet, the backpack comes with a TravelproID TheftBlock pocket for your passport and credit cards. There’s also a dedicated pocket for your tracking device and anti-theft pockets for additional security.

For quick cellphone access, the backpack has a Travelpro QuickSlip pocket with a magnetic closure — and the dual side pockets can carry water bottles, umbrellas and other need-to-reach essentials.

CLIQ’s MystiQ Lounge – Beach Chair

We live in Northeast Florida, so we sometimes pack up the Subaru and head to the beach when we’re in the mood for a staycation or an easy supper on the beach. There are sections where we can drive on the beach where we live, so it’s easy to pack up the back of the SUV with beach chairs, a beach umbrella, towels and food and drinks. Evening beach time became a ritual with neighbors during the pandemic, and we continue the tradition today when we want to dine outdoors with the brisk ocean breezes and soothing sound of the surf.

We have several foldable, packable chairs, but the newest addition is by far the most comfortable, the MystiQ Lounge – Beach Chair by CLIQ. The portable chair weighs just six pounds and is ready for beach time in minutes. The military-grade frame and ergonomically designed canopy can support up to 450 pounds and it features holster pockets for storing valuables, such as your keys and phone — and essential items like your sunglasses and sunscreen. What’s more, the mesh panels keep you cool, even on sweltering summer days.

We appreciate that the chair is more supportive than the others we have, making it a favorite choice for a longer time relaxing at the beach. We have the chair in Black Beauty, but you can also order it in three other colors: Gibraltar Blue, Burnt Olive or Burnt Orange.

Price: $279.00 or less at CLIQ (You can save $59.00 if you purchase two chairs.)

If you have any questions about any of the products listed here, please send us a message through the Contact Page on our site.

Enjoy the rest of your summer!
