Happy Memorial Day! I hope that your holiday weekend has been filled with lots of family and friends, great food and beautiful weather.

We are in the mountains of North Carolina enjoying all of the above this weekend. I was looking forward to some peaceful days after last week’s conference, but it has been anything but quiet.

I thought that you might enjoy seeing some of the beautiful flowers that are blooming right now in the mountains to start your week.

Native Mountain Azaleas

The butterflies like them

Hybrid Azaleas in many shades of pink and white

We watched the peony begin to bloom

It opened up just a little each day

This year was the prettiest we have ever seen it

Lupines come in several shades

The bees like the purple ones

I love the pink color of the Mountain Laurel

It is in full bloom right now
