Passing the torch for a couple of food blogging awards
I usually do not do blog posts on Sunday, but I had a special reason to do one this time. This has been awards week in the food blogging world!
I opened up my email the other day to find a lovely post from my good friend Devaki at Weave a Thousand Flavors. She had received three awards from fellow bloggers and had passed along the torch for a few of them to ten bloggers. I was one of the ten bloggers, so thank you! I am honored. I did not do a separate post on this, because she had requested that we just enjoy the award and not to worry about passing it on since we all have busy lives. That was greatly appreciated!
I have personally spoken to Devaki a few times and she is truly as delightful on the phone as she is on her blog. I really hope that we get to meet in person one day. She makes incredibly wonderful dishes, many from her personal experience living in other countries. I hope that you will click on the link to her blog and take a peek!
I then received a another message from my friend Biren at Roti n Rice. She had also been given three blogging awards from fellow bloggers and has passed two of them along. I am one of the recipients! Thank you, Biren!
Biren has also become a friend through food blogging. She is creative in the kitchen and shares many wonderful recipes from cooking with her family as well as from her past travels. You never know which country you will be visiting when you go to her blog, so I hope that you will click on the link to her blog to see some of her great recipes.
I truly am honored to receive awards from both Devaki and Biren. It is always nice to know that fellow food bloggers enjoy reading your posts and seeing your recipes. I have met many incredible people in the 5 months that I have been blogging. It is nice to share the passion for cooking, wine and travel with so many other people. I never even knew that this incredible community of food bloggers existed until I started my blog.

2. Knowing that our kids are growing up and moving forward with their lives.

8. Cooking a great meal.
9. A clean house (and then not messing it up!).
10. Warm, sunny weather.
I am going to follow Devaki’s lead on this, and say to those that I am passing the awards on to, do not feel obligated to do the same. I am nominating you all because I enjoy your blog and it has been a pleasure getting to know some of you through the food blogging process. I know that we all lead crazy lives, so I leave it up to you! I know that several of you have already received these awards, but I like you so much, I am going to give it to you again anyway!
